Top 10 Horses Heading Into The 2022-23 Season

Updated: Aug 27, 2022

Welcome to the top 10 horses across Aus/NZ heading into the 2022-23 racing season. As we have covered all of these horses previously, it will be a very small write-up so let us get stuck in.

10. Zaaki – Very solid horse but potentially on the decline.

9. Think It Over – Injury will keep him out of the spring but a consistent type.

8. Hitotsu – Freak of a 3yo but will miss the spring. Glad he is not at stud.

7. Montefilia – Still underrated, will be competitive in any race she chooses.

6. Anamoe - Another strong chance to establish himself. Glad not at stud.

5. Duais – Our best chance at a true WFA horse in the spring. Winx like (but worse).

4. Classique Legend – Even better than the Strip at his peak, can he reach it again?

3. Eduardo – Born at the wrong time. Regardless, is still a multiple G1 winner.

2. Incentivise – A freak of a horse but could become a what if due to injuries.

1. Nature Strip – Who else could it be? Forget best in Aus, he is best in the world.

There are my top 10 horses heading into the season. I think an obvious number 1 we can all agree on but what about the others? Also, Marabi & Fireburn were strongly considered. Next up will be the top 10 jockeys (no surprises for guessing #1).
